We all know about companies that do background checks on potential employees, or colleges that do background checks on students, etc. Did you ever think about doing a little checking on your own about a business, or so-called business you may have to deal with? I mean in a legal way, of course.
Con artists (persons, and businesses) tend to have a field day during bad times. People are desperate and will try anything …. especially if it promises a quick ad large return (see all of the articles all over the internet about CEO’s dropping like flies because they scammed enough people). There are enough legal resources now that you can pretty much “Google” a company name and find a slew of information on it.
